This week, we’ve decided to recreate one of our favorite recipes on one of our favorite breads: soft, cheesy garlic bagels. As New Yorkers, we can confidently say we know how to trick out a bagel. Lox and cream cheese? Please. Spinach, cheese, and mushrooms? Got it. The end result was a melt-in-your-mouth masterpiece, with just the right amount of garlic to cheese encased in dough. This recipe is perfect for a quick snack or at 2am when you just can’t make it to the Whey Station (although we wouldn’t suggest busting this out on date night).

Ingredients & WeShop Prices:

Thomas bagels – $4.69

Butter – $6.69 (pack of four)

Garlic – $4.39/lb

Shredded mild cheddar cheese – $3.99

Parmesan – $3.29

Pepper – $2.39

Instructions:

1. Separate a bagel into halves.

2. Melt a small spoonful of butter in the microwave, and spread onto a bagel half.

3. Mince1-2 cloves of garlic

4. Spread evenly on a bagel half.

4. Taking a handful of shredded cheddar cheese, spread on top of garlic.

5. Shake as much Parmesan cheese as desired on top of bagel half.

6. Shake as much pepper as desired on top of bagel half.

7. Put bagel half in the microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds.

8. Let cool for 1 minute and enjoy!
